This refresh was inspired by the original 1974 architecture of the home. Elements throughout the house were thoughtfully and intentionally defined by an era and style from decades ago. We listened to the bones of the home and worked with the existing character. The result is a fresh and functional kitchen that seamlessly compliments and shines within the surrounding space. The selected finishes fold into the fabric of the home, adding modern character and creating a bridge between past and present.

Nestled in a quaint community with Tudor-style charm, this home needed to breathe in order to shine. We peeled back the layers of paint, stain and outdated fixtures and finishes. We moved the laundry room from a downstairs hall closet to the second floor, capturing space from an oversized primary bedroom to define a new laundry room. The hall closet was repurposed as a kitchen pantry. Reconfiguring the space upgraded the function and convenience. Once the layout was defined, we layered in the finishes to create a warm and inviting home that flows with ease. The kitchen and bathroom were fully updated with a “less-is-more” approach. New colors and a soft palette adds a grace that compliments the exterior charm. The clients’ love of art and beauty, the old and the new, add unique dimension and detail to create a beautiful home that’s a true reflection of their history, life and love.

This bungalow was taken down to the studs and rebuilt again. Every corner and surface was touched and enhanced with the intention of bringing comfortable sophistication to the home. The end result is a modern cottage feel with a fresh definition to each space.

This guest room celebrates the work of indigenous artisans- adorned in traditionally woven textiles, sculpture and woodwork. Front row to panoramic views of Zihuatanejo bay; warmth, light and sea breeze evoke the feeling of escaping from it all.
The heart of this home is celebrated with a flood of light, beautiful finishes and new cabinetry with an abundance of storage. We removed the unnecessary and replenished with a polish that is livable and inviting. The flow makes sense. The layout accommodates a wealth of activity and the view is all the entertainment you need.
